The day after our first match of training camp we had another game against another team in the same division. However, only six players showed up. Some of the girls were wearing t-shirts from Topp Volley Norway (my old school), so I had actually played against them before! This match ended up being a very mental game because this team was able to get every ball over and they made very few mistakes. Our team pulled through and we ended up winning this game too!

The next day our coach wanted us to relax, so after our morning practice we went to the spa and got massages. It was so nice being able to relax for a little bit. We also were able to take ice baths, which I was pretty used to after doing it every day during preseason at GW. In the afternoon we had practice where we worked on side-out.

After our practice the following morning we were able to go down to the city of Rzeszow and look around. Sightseeing turned into shopping at a huge mall in the middle of town. It is so cheap in Poland, so everyone bought a lot of stuff!

The next day we were supposed to play against the same team we played against the first day, but they cancelled on us. Instead we just practiced in the gym in Kielnarowa.

On Saturday it was time to go back to Norway. We flew straight to Oslo from Rzeszow and the next day I flew back home to Bodø. The camp was really successful and we got to know each other better. We also figured out our strengths and weaknesses as a team and we know what to work on for next time. Our next competition is the World University Games in Russia!

Raise High!
