@GW_WomensRowing Opens Fall Season

The George Washington women's rowing team opened the fall portion of its 2013-14 schedule this past Sunday at the Head of the Potomac on the Potomac River.

The Colonials entered three boats of mixed lineups in the Women's Open Eight event and finished in second, fourth and sixth place out of seven crews.

The Head of the Potomac is the first of four events the Colonials will compete in during the fall schedule. GW heads to the prestigious Head of the Charles on Oct. 19-20 as well as the Princeton Chase (Oct. 27) and the Head of the Occoquan (Nov. 2).

The Colonials will also head to Tampa, Fla., for their annual winter training trip (Jan. 1-11) and Woodbridge, Va., for spring break training (March 7-15) before opening its championship season on March 22 against Penn and Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia, Pa.
