GW Women's Basketball has one of the most storied histories in the Atlantic 10 with 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, including four Sweet 16's and an Elite Eight. The Colonials are on the rise again and beginning to receive national recognition following their 75-72 win over #10/11 California on Nov. 15.
Second-year head coach Jonathan Tsipis was one of two coaches featured last week in a Hoopfeed.com Dishin & Swishin podcast about young coaches turning programs around.
"Teams like Delaware, Dayton, Gonzaga, Green Bay and Marist have shown that there is a place in the top 25 for a non-BCS program that consistently achieves success, and Tsipis plans on the Colonials joining the list," David Siegel writes in the introduction to the podcast.
Coach Tsipis' segment of the podcast begins at 24:08 following UCLA head coach Cori Close.
