GW Rowing Winter Training Blog Day #6

Despite frigid temperatures and high winds, our crew managed to have two very productive practices today. We started our morning with four eights across and did some hard work up and down the channel.

After having breakfast at the dining hall, we headed back to the hotel where we had plenty of time to rest and recuperate for our next practice. By mid-afternoon, temperatures had risen and the winds had died down considerably, allowing our crew to really take advantage of our afternoon technical water session. The day concluded with a dinner at The Spaghetti Warehouse with our Athletic Director, Patrick Nero, which was a great opportunity for us to venture out of the hotel for a night and have a meal with one of our biggest supporters! We are thrilled to have him here in Tampa for the next few days and even more excited to take him for a ride in the launch to see what we do best.

In other news, tomorrow we will be taking a deserved day off and heading to Universal Studios! Although we are very excited for our fun-filled day, we are eager to get right back on the water first thing Thursday morning to hit it hard and finish off the remainder of our winter training trip the right way.
