GW Softball freshman Mary Wiley was named to the Tiger Invitational All-Tournament Team, host LSU announced on Monday evening.
Wiley led the Colonials with a .462 average (6-for-13) and walked five times for a team-high .611 on-base percentage. She also scored two runs and had a pair of RBIs.
Wiley's best game of the weekend came in the tournament's opener against Northwestern, when she went 3-for-5 and scored a run. She also went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI against No. 21 LSU on Saturday, driving in the tying run in the fifth inning.
The rookie from Harrington Park, N.J., is hitting .318 on the season, ranking third on the team, and leads GW with a .444 on-base percentage.
Wiley was joined on the All-Tournament Team by LSU's Jacee Blades, Baylee Corbello, Allison Falcon and Kellsi Kloss; Northwestern's Andrea Filler and Mari Majam; Penn State's Macy Jones and South Alabama's Hannah Campbell. LSU's Falcon was named MVP.
Wiley and the Colonials return to action this weekend at the UNCG Spartin Classic in Greensboro, N.C., where they will face No. 20/21 Minnesota, Army, Hampton and host UNC Greensboro Feb. 21-23.
