Since opening in 1975, the Charles E. Smith Center has always been a magnet for the nation's most influential politicians, entertainers and athletes.  Since the facility's transformation in 2010 though, some of the best athletes and franchises in the world have routinely used the Smith Center for practice and training sessions.

This past Saturday, May 10, the Indiana Pacers were the latest team to use the Smith Center as they prepared to face the Washington Wizards at Verizon Center in the NBA Playoffs.

The Chicago Bulls also practiced at Smith Center recently during their NBA Playoff First Round series against the Wizards

And so have the Toronto Raptors each of the last two years...

The Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz, to name a few, have also trained at Smith Center in recent years.

The most notable team, however, was not an NBA franchise, as in the summer of 2012, USA Basketball's Men's National Team used the Smith Center to begin its preparation for an eventual Gold Medal at the London Olympic Games.
