@GW_MensRowing Places 13th in Ten Eyck Award Standings

The George Washington men's rowing team totaled 61 points to place 13th overall in the Ten Eyck Award standings following a historic weekend at the IRA National Championships on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, New Jersey.

The Ten Eyck Award standings take into account each school's entries in the event and assign points based on overall finish of each crew. The Colonials earned 36 points for the Freshmen 8 boat's seventh-place finish and 25 points for the Varsity 8's 14th-place finish, both program bests.

The Colonials also finished in seventh place in the Chapman Award standings, which is given to the team that shows the biggest one-year improvement in team performance at the IRA National Championships. GW tallied a 14-point improvement from last year's overall point total. caught up with head coach Mark Davis at the conclusion of this weekend's event.
