This will be my final blog post as my summer in New York is soon coming to an end and the beginning of preseason approaches. As sad as it is knowing that I will have to leave home soon, the thoughts and excitement of starting preseason with the girls makes me beyond ecstatic.
This whole summer I have been preparing to be reunited with the team in what I hope to be our best season yet. In these final weeks I will be preparing harder than ever to make sure that we as a team can pick up right where we left of and incorporate the new freshman as seamlessly as possible.
In addition to the endless volleyball activities I have been surrounding myself with this summer, I have also been having plenty of fun with family and friends. A few weekends ago I went to the Beyonce and Jay-Z On The Run concert at Metlife Stadium. I am one of the biggest Beyonce fans out there and the show definitely lived up to all of the hype. It was by far one of the best shows I have ever seen!
In that same weekend I also attended my aunt's wedding at an exclusive castle in upstate New York. That's right, you read that correctly, a CASTLE. It was the best wedding I have ever attended, I and the entire extended family had a blast together dancing the night away.
Also in attendance at the wedding was my cousin who is a GW alum! We spent part of the night talking about how the school has grown and changed since she last attended it and how she looked forward to coming to our match when the team visits New York and plays against Fordham. That match is definitely going to be one of my favorites to play as we will be returning back to my home state where many of my family and friends will be able to come watch me play.
I want to thank you all for reading these posts this summer and I hope that you all will be in attendance for many games this upcoming season!
