The George Washington gymnastics team continued its relationship with the Buddy Walk by volunteering at the event for the sixth consecutive year over the weekend.
The Buddy Walk, which benefits the National Down Syndrome Society, is an annual two-day conference that brings the Down syndrome community together to advocate for legislative priorities that impact the lives of people with Down syndrome and their families.
"We helped with the Buddy Walk and volunteered at the bounce houses, painted faces and much more," said sophomore Jessica Mishlove. "This is my second year volunteering at this event and the gymnastics team has been helping out here for six years. It was a very rewarding experience for us."
