    Mount Vernon Athletic Field Turf Replacement Photo Gallery

    The Mount Vernon Athletic Fields are home to GW Men's and Women's Soccer, GW Women's Lacrosse, and GW Softball. The Athletic Field has hosted both the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Soccer Championship and the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship.

    The facilities include a multipurpose synthetic turf athletic field and softball field which are used for Intercollegiate Team Practices and Competitions, Student Club Team Practices and Competitions, Intramural and Recreational Activities, as well as occasional University and Other Special Events. The MVC Athletic Fields do not have spectator seating available as per District of Columbia zoning commission restrictions. Additionally, due to safety concerns, there is no use on the field after dark.

    Current GW students who display a valid GWorld Card have access to the fields for free play when there are no scheduled activities on the fields.
