Thompson Boat Center is the home of George Washington University men's and women's rowing located on the historic Potomac River.

Headquartered at the Thompson Boat Center, GW rowers are only one-quarter-mile from campus. The boathouse holds the teams' fleet of racing eights, fours and small boats. A carefully designed equipment turnover plan assures that the Colonials are racing in the latest top-of-the-line equipment.

GW utilizes a three-lane fully buoyed racecourse for its 2,000-meter spring home races. The course begins near Three Sisters Islands, proceeds down river under the Key Bridge and ends at the Washington Harbour waterfront.

GW hosts home regattas during the fall and spring seasons, the largest being the annual GW Invitational Regatta held each April. Large crowds of spectators line the boardwalk at Washington Harbour and the waterfront park near the finish line during the regattas.

Parking: The Washington Harbour complex has secured, hourly underground parking with protected direct access to restaurants. There is also 2-hour metered parking on K Street, NW, located beneath the Whitehurst Freeway.

George Washington University Rowing also has access to a number of on-campus training facilities. Charles E. Smith Center is home to the team's strength training facilities and ergometer machines and other cross training equipment.
