3rd Annual GW Men's Basketball Home Opener Tailgate Sponsored by RCN
The GW Department of Athletics and Recreation is proud to partner with the Colonial Army and the George Washington University community to present the 3rd Annual GW Men's Basketball Home Opener Tailgate. Once again, the Colonials are shutting down 22nd Street in front of the Charles E. Smith Center for free food, music and fun for Colonials fans all over the area before starting the 100th regular season in men's basketball history against Radford on Friday, November 8 at 7 p.m. The tailgate starts at 4 p.m.
Anyone is invited to attend this special event, with great grilled food and drink provided by FoBoGro, a live performance by 90s cover band White Ford Bronco, the Alex and Ani bangle bar and Keurig station, as well as games, face painting and poster making with help from some of GW's greatest organizations. Tickets are required for all non-students to attend the game.
At nearby G Street Park (formerly Veteran's Memorial Park), there will be a free beer garden presented in conjunction with FoBoGro for all fans over the age of 21.
