Caira Washington led GW to a pair of wins over UMass and George Mason this week, averaging a double-double of 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, along with 2.0 blocks, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 57.7 percent (15-26) from the field. She tallied 13 points and nine rebounds in a 67-50 win over the Minutewomen on Wednesday, making 6-of-11 shots from the floor. Then on Friday, with the Colonials playing without reigning A-10 and Defensive Player of the Year Jonquel Jones, Washington stepped up with 20 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots, plus two assists and two steals in GW's 82-68 win over the Patriots, shooting 54.5 percent from the field. For the season, the junior from Brandywine, Maryland, is averaging 13.9 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
