Rice led all players with a game-high 27 points at Rhode Island Saturday to lift GW past the Rams and into first place in the A-10 standings. Rice scored 14 of the 27 in the second half, and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line. He converted six of his 10 FTs in the final six minutes of the back-and-forth contest. With the score tied at 73-73 at the one-minute mark, Rice took over the game and scored seven of the Colonials' final nine points to secure the victory. Against Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, Rice scored 19 points on 7-14 FGs including 3-5 three-pointers and a pair of steals.
Rice leads the Colonials in scoring with a 17.0 points-per-game average and has a team-high 40 three-pointers.
