GW Places 105 Student-Athletes on A-10 Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll

Feb. 13, 2007

WASHINGTON, DC -- The George Washington University had 105 student-athletes qualify for the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2006 semester, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Fifteen of those student-athletes recorded a 4.0 grade-point-average (GPA). The A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll honors student-athletes in the Conference who have achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher during the Fall `06 semester.

"It is an honor to recognize these student-athletes who truly exemplify what the college experience is all about," A-10 commissioner Linda Bruno said. "Their commitment to excellence on and off the playing field is inspiring and should serve as an example to all."

In the Fall of 2004, the Presidents Council of the Atlantic 10 Conference changed the parameters of the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Now, the Honor Roll will be announced at the end of each semester and will consist of student-athletes with GPA's of 3.5 or higher for that semester.

The A-10 Fall 2006 Commissioner's Honor Roll is comprised of 1,168 student-athletes from the 14 members of the Conference.
