NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced today that 95 George Washington student-athletes were among the 1,470 student-athletes who earned A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction for the fall 2014 semester.
This news comes during a week of academic accolades for GW student-athletes, highlighted by men's basketball senior John Kopriva's selection as an Academic All-American, GW men's basketball's 10th all-time Academic All-America nod, which tops in the A-10.
Also this week, GW Athletics honored student-athletes who achieved a 3.0+ grade-point average in either the spring 2014 or fall 2014 semester, with 303 achieving Dean's List status for the spring and 294 student-athletes honored for the most recent fall semester, including 14 who earned a perfect 4.0 in either semester.
To be listed on the bi-annual A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport must have a 3.5 GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale) during the specified semester.
