<> - Sophomore Caroline Shumway became the first Colonials women's squashplayer to be named Colonial of the Week in the 2010 season after leading the team to the Walker Trophy championship in New Haven, CT.

The team went into the weekend ranked 20th nationally and was looking to raise their national ranking in the Howe Cup for the second straight season. They accomplished their goal once again as they played St. Lawrence, the #5 seed in the Walker division on Friday and won by a final score of 7-2. On Saturday they then faced off against the #1 seed Wesleyan and won by the decisive score of 8-1.

In the finals they defeated Vassar College 5-4 in a thrilling match. Shumway fought off match point 4 times and won all three of her matches in the Championships. In winning all three of their matches the Colonials take home the Walker Cup, which will be displayed in Foggy Bottom until the Howe Cup next season.
