Event: 1998 Cup/George's Cup

The George Washington women's rowing team swept four races to claim both the 1998 Cup and the George's Trophy over local rivals Georgetown and George Mason on the Potomac River on Saturday morning.

The wins on Saturday mark the first time the Colonials have won the 1998 Cup since the 2007 season and the first time claiming George's Trophy, in its second year of existence.

The Colonials' 3V8, JV 8, V4 and Varsity 8 all won by an average margin of 7.8 seconds.
