Freshman Nadia Demidenko helped to lead the GW women's tennis team to a pair of non-conference victories over the weekend, defeating James Madison 5-2 on Friday, and then blanking Howard 7-0 on Sunday. She went 2-0 in singles action, playing from the No. 1 position, and won both of her doubles matches, also from the No. 1 flight. Demidenko won 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 against JMU and 6-0, 6-3 versus Howard. The Colonials are now 7-10 overall this season. Demidenko leads the team with 17 overall singles victories.
