GW sophomore Brendan Barrack tied for first last weekend by shooting a one-over-par 141 (71-70) at the Caves Valley Spring Intercollegiate hosted by Yale. Barrack tied Bucknell's Andrew Cohen for medalist honors in the field of 45 golfers. It marked his fourth Top-5 finish in 11 events this season. The two-day, 36-hole event was played Saturday and Sunday on the par-71, 6,942-yard Caves Valley Golf Club near Baltimore. Barrack birdied six holes, including the final hole, to go with just five bogies on the weekend.

Barrack's effort helped the Colonials to a second-place finish in the nine-team field with a team total 608, 13 strokes off the pace set by tournament champion Harvard (595). Barrack's 74.3 stroke average leads the squad and his individual head-to-head record now stands at 650-180 (.783) on the season.
