WASHINGTON, DC - A total of 80 student-athletes from The George Washington University have made the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2010 semester, as announced by A-10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade Thursday. The A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll recognizes its student-athletes who have achieved a 3.5 grade-point-average or higher.
"Our student-athletes continue to positively represent both the athletic department and the university with their hard work and success in the classroom," said Karen Ercole, GW's Director of Academic Support Services. "We are so proud of their accomplishments and congratulate them on their academic achievements."
The women's soccer team and the women's rowing team led the way with 10 members each qualifying for the league honor roll. The Colonials women's lacrosse team also had nine players named to the list.
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the end of each semester and consists of student-athletes with GPA's of 3.5 or higher for that semester. Prior to 2004, an annual honor roll was announced consisting of student-athletes with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher.
