NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced on Wednesday that 104 GW student-athletes are among the league’s 1,559 student-athletes named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the Spring 2015 semester.

Combined with 95 honorees from the Fall 2014 semester, GW earned a total of 199 A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll distinctions for the 2014-15 academic year while amassing 14 All-Academic accolades from the conference.

The 1,559 student-athletes honored by the league is the highest number that have qualified for the award in a 14-member Atlantic 10 since 2007. Including the fall semester numbers, there were a total of 3,029 honorees during 2014-15, the most in league history for a 14-member Atlantic 10 and the second-most all-time.

To be recognized on the bi-annual Commissioner’s Honor Roll, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport must possess a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale.

Women’s soccer boasted a GW-high 17 Commissioner’s Honor Roll members, followed by women’s rowing with 14 and lacrosse and softball with 10 apiece.
