Sophomore MacKenzie Cowley scored the game-winning goal to help lift GW women's soccer to a 2-1 win over Revolutionary Rival George Mason on Saturday afternoon. The win marked the first-ever for GW over Mason in 22 meetings between the two programs and pushed the Buff and Blue to a 1-0 lead over the Patriots in the second annual Revolutionary Rivalry series. The Colonials are now 7-2-0 at the completion of non-conference play, matching last season's overall win total, and are unblemished at home with a mark of 4-0-0 at the GW Soccer Field on the Mount Vernon Campus. Saturday's game-winner was Cowley's third of the season, and she leads GW with five goals and one assist for 11 points on the year.
