The duo of senior Kelsey Newman and junior Maddy Doyle reached statistical milestones during GW volleyball's two-match weekend.

Newman became the 12th player in program history to achieve 1,000 career kills when she totaled 28 kills over the weekend.

The Charlotte, North Carolina, native posted eight kills, along with 11 digs and two block assists in Friday's 3-0 sweep of La Salle. She added 20 kills, 11 digs and two block assists in Sunday's narrow 3-2 loss at Duquesne.

Newman now has 1,112 career kills, which ranks sixth all-time in program history entering this week's matches.

Doyle totaled 33 digs over two matches to bring her career total to 1,032, which currently ranks 16th all-time in program history.

The Farmington Hills, Michigan, native totaled 14 digs and two service aces in Friday's win over La Salle before adding 19 digs, seven assists and one ace in Sunday's loss at Duquense.
