Forward Provided Pair of Game-Winners to Close Regular Season
Name: MacKenzie Cowley
Sport: Women's Soccer
Hometown: Sea Girt, New Jersey

Junior forward MacKenzie Cowley netted a pair of game-winning goals to lead the Colonials to a perfect week of play to wrap the regular season. On Thursday, the Sea Girt, New Jersey, native provided the golden goal in the 107th minute at Rhode Island to give GW the victory, 2-1 (2OT), solidifying the program's first Atlantic 10 regular season title since 1995. On Sunday, the Communication major broke a scoreless tie in the 81st minute as the Buff and Blue downed Saint Louis, 1-0, on Senior Day.
Cowley leads GW with a career-best 10 goals on the season, and is the first Colonial to reach the double-digit goals mark since Kim Warner scored 13 times in 2003. The junior leads the conference with six game-winners in 2015 - including the deciding scores in GW's last three contests - and also earned A-10 Co-Player of the Week honors for her efforts.
The Colonials completed the regular season with a perfect, 10-0-0 conference mark - the first time in program history that GW has posted an undefeated, untied, league record - and GW will play in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship as the top seed.
