Megan Hogan has been named Colonial of the Week for her performance at the Mid-Atlantic Regional's last Saturday, November 15. The redshirt sophomore ran a time of 22:17.0, and finished 19th overall in the race. This enabled her to qualify for the 2008 Division I Cross Country Championships November 24, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind. With her qualification she became the first Colonial to qualify for Nationals and also was the first Colonial to finish in the top-20 at Mid-Atlantic Regionals. Hogan has improved her time in every race so far this season.

Megan is a testament to what can be accomplished here at GW with a lot of hard work, belief in the program, and a little bit of luck," said Head Coach Brian Beil. "This trip to Nationals should prove to be a tremendous learning experience for a young runner who is just coming into her own in the sport. I'm excited to see what the future holds for not only Megan, but the GW Cross Country program as a whole."
