Colonial of the Week - GW's 450+ Student-Athletes
GW Student-Athletes Win HelperHelper's NCAA Team Works Competition with 4,800 Hours of Service in First Semester
George Washington's 450+ student-athletes worked together to log more than 4,800 hours of community service thus far this academic year to win the HelperHelper's NCAA Team Works Competition. One of the three tenets of the GW Athletic Department philosophy, the Colonials were the top service department in the nation for the fall semester and were in first place since week 10 before being crowned service champions last week. Seventy-five different student-athletes logged more than 20 hours while 14 of GW's 27 varsity teams were ranked in the top five in the country for their respective sport.
