1987 ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE

Dick Duenkel was an outstanding defensive end during his playing days at GW from 1960 thru 1963. He was captain of the 1963 team and named second team All-Southern Conference that year. Following graduation, he played semi-pro football for teams in Richmond, Annapolis, Northern Virginia and Roanoke from 1964-71. In three separate years, he was voted to the all-league team as a defensive end. Since 1966, he has worked for the Xerox Corporation in the Washington, D.C. area where he has been honored as Salesman of the Year in 1972 and National Account Manager of the Year on five different occasions.
