Now in her 24th year at GW, Ercole was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics for Educational Support Services in September 2011 after serving as Director of Academic Support Services since July 2000.

Originally an Assistant Academic Coordinator from August 1990-June 2000, Ercole oversees the academic counseling for all teams specifically coordinating day-to-day responsibilities for gymnastics, men's soccer, men's squash and men's tennis.

Along with her academic counseling duties, Ercole serves as the advisor for the Student-Athlete Leadership Academy and Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). She also developed and instituted the Freshmen Mentoring Program and is a 10-year member of the National Association of Athletic Academic Advisors (N4A).

Ercole came to GW in 1990 to serve as the assistant academic advisor for the GW men's basketball program. Prior to that, she worked in the same capacity at Boston University from 1985-90. While at BU, Ercole also earned her master's degree in counseling with a specialization in both educational counseling and sport psychology.
