Chris Hennelly is in his 20th year at GW. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, including overseeing medical coverage, treatment and rehabilitation of over 450 student-athletes, Hennelly serves as the day-to-day athletic trainer for the men's basketball team.
In 2010, Hennelly added the responsibility as sport administrator and he oversees the men's and women's water polo programs. Hennelly is a member of the Collegiate Water Polo Association Board of Governance.
Prior to coming to GW, Hennelly served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Morehead State University in Kentucky. At Morehead, Hennelly was the athletic trainer for women's basketball and assisted with football.
Hennelly is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and holds additional certifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
