Chad Jones has been an assistant athletic trainer at GW since 2008. He currently works with the women's basketball, golf, men's and women's swimming and women's rowing teams. A native of Juneau, Alaska, Jones earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training education from New Mexico State University in 2000 and his master's degree in exercise science and health promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Prior to coming to GW, Jones served as the head athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coordinator at Trinity Washington University from 2006-08. He was also an assistant athletic trainer at Catholic University of America from 2002-06 and a staff athletic trainer at Groves High School and Memorial Day School in Savannah, Ga., from 2000-02. Jones is a corrective exercise specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Association. In addition, he is an American Red Cross lay responder first aid/CPR/AED authorized instructor.
