Occoquan Sprints Cancelled by High Winds

April 4, 2005

WOODBRIDGE, VA - The Occoquan Sprints rowing competition scheduled for Sunday, April 3, was cancelled due to high winds that left the water unsafe for competition.

The GW men's rowing team next hosts the 18th Annual GW Invitational Crew Classic on Saturday, April 9, on the Potomac River. Admission is free and spectators can watch the races from the shore along the Washington Harbour complex near K Street.
