Women's Rowing Places Third at A-10 Championship

PENNSAUKEN, NJ - The George Washington women's rowing squad won three events, the Novice 8-A (7:31.3), the Novice 8-B (7:47.3), and the 2nd Varsity 8 (7:19.9) en route to a third-place finish at the 2005 Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing Championship Saturday afternoon on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, NJ.

The University of Massachusetts won its 10th Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing Championship title in as many years this afternoon The 10-championship title streak is the longest in any sport in Atlantic 10 history. The Minutewomen won three of nine races in posting 45 total points.

GW's varsity 8 crossed the finish line four seconds behind UMass in the grand final race.
