GW Lands 87 Student-Athletes on A-10 Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll

Jan. 20, 2006

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced Friday that 87 George Washington University student-athletics qualified for the 2005 Fall Semester Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The honor roll recognizes student-athletes in the A-10 with a 3.5 or higher grade point average.

"It is an honor to recognize these student-athletes who truly exemplify what the college experience is all about," A-10 Commissioner Linda Bruno said. "Their commitment to excellence on and off the playing field is inspiring and should serve as an example to all."

GW surpassed its number of honorees from the 2005 Spring Semester, when 82 Colonials qualified for the prestigious list.

The women's rowing program led GW with 17 members qualifying for the league honor roll.

Men's and women's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving, and men's and women's cross country each produced double-digit honor roll members as well.
