GW Rowing Coach Steve Peterson Resigns

WASHINGTON, DC - Steve Peterson has resigned his position as head rowing coach at The George Washington University, the GW Department of Athletics has announced.

Peterson, a member of the 1996 U.S. Olympic Rowing Team, had a career record of 205-117 (.637) at GW. In seven seasons under Peterson, the women's varsity 8 was 132-50 (.725) including a berth in the 1998 NCAA Women's Rowing Championships. The Colonials posted an 18-17 record in 2002-03 and were runners-up at the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Rowing Championships.
