Kings Point Dinghy Open Results | Webb Open Results

WASHINGTON - GW sailing will send 18 sailors to two separate regattas for its final weekend of racing in preparation for next week's War Memorial MAISA Coed Fall Championship.

Head Coach John Pearce will send two teams and 10 sailors to the competitive 20-team Kings Point Dinghy Open hosted by Merchant Marine on the Long Island Sound.

GW's teams will consist of freshmen Daniel DelBello and Gabriella Malek, freshman Brendan Shanahan and junior Matthew Ricci, sophomore Maria Sinagra and senior Kaitlin Denney, sophomore Hannah McNomee and senior Erin McCormack, with freshman Colin Kennedy and sophomore Henry Young serving as alternates.

 

 

Coach Pearce will also send two teams and eight sailors to the Webb Open hosted by Christopher Newport. Sophomore Jay Spector and junior Madeline Taggart, sophomore Benjamin Helfand and freshman Darius Homayuni, senior William Broman and freshman Gabriella Marki, and freshman Madison Oleson and senior Sloan Dickey.

"The goal for the weekend is to refine our technique and execution before the conference champs next week," said Coach Pearce. "The team has been working very hard at practice and in the gym, so we feel really good about where we are at."
