Simon Harrington is in his fourth year as the head coach for the men's squash team. He leads one of George Washington University's newest varsity sports this year. The inaugural season began in November 2002 and began playing home matches in January 2005.

A 1996 graduate of The George Washington University, Harrington earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism. He was a member of the club squash team during his four years at George Washington before it was a varsity sport.

Harrington has served as the head tennis pro at the Tuckahoe Recreation Club since 1999. He has also been the junior varsity tennis and squash coach at the Potomac School of McLean since 1998. He is also a certified United States Professional Tennis Association and United States Tennis Registry instructor.

Harrington resides in Arlington, VA, with his wife, Anne, and their five-year-old daughter, Sydney.
