GW Men and Women Hold Spots in A-10 Swimming and Diving Championsips

BUFFALO, NY - George Washington University completed day three of the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships Friday with the women's team remaining in third place and the men still holding fourth.

For the third consecutive night, 2004 defending champions Massachusetts and Richmond topped the leader board.

Colonial diver Katura Horton-Perinchief (Sandy's Bermuda / University of Texas) placed first in the three-meter dive (449.80). She also took first in the one-meter event on Wednesday.

Junior Maggie Moss (Indianapolis, IN / North Central) and senior Kirsten Rasmuson (San Diego, CA/Mt. Carmel) each posted third place finishes Friday, as Moss recorded a time of 57.76 seconds in the 100-yd backstroke and Rasmuson notched a time of 1:05.51 in the 100-yd breastroke.

On the men's side, sophomore Jon Sabin (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield) nabbed a second place finish in the 100-yd backstroke (51.40 seconds).

The final day of the four-day meet, hosted by St. Bonaventure at the Flickinger Athletic Center, begins Saturday at 10:30 am.
