Swimming's Jeffrey Glazer Named A-10 Performer of the Week

WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington University men's swimmer Jeffrey Glazer (Dix Hills, NY/Commack) was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Performer of the Week for his performance in a meet held this past weekend.

Glazer, a sophomore, recorded three first place finishes in a tri-meet with American and Catholic.

In the first day of the two-day meet on Friday, Glazer placed first in the 500-yard freestyle event with a time of 4:53.42 at CUA.

Saturday at AU, Glazer won both the 100-yard (47.64 seconds) and 200-yard freestyle events (1:44.19).

GW hosts its 2005-06 home opener on Saturday at Smith Center Pool when they welcome Howard University. The meets is set to begin at 11:00 am.
