Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Take Care of La Salle
On the men's side, freshman Ryan White (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy H.S.) won two individual events, the 200-y free and the 500- free. Senior Mike Cottone (Piscataway, NJ/St. Joseph's) won the 200-y individual medley with a time of 1:57.69. Freshman Andrew De Sorbo (Salisbury, NC/Salisbury H.S.) won the 200-y backstroke with a time of 1:55.68 and teamed with White and seniors Wes Teter (Farmer's Branch/TX/RL Turner High) and Alvaro Fortuny (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Colegio Interamericano) to win the 400-y medley relay in dominating fashion with a time of 3:31.88.
Freshman Kristen Fagley (Ft. Lauderdale, FL/ Westminster Academy) won both the 200-y free and the 500-y free to highlight the women's action. Junior Jocelyn Finch (Olympia, WA/Olympic H.S.) won the 200-y individual medley with a time of 2:10.65 and freshmen Crystal Freeman (Ft. Dix, NJ/Holy Cross H.S.) and Laura Clemens (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley H.S.) won the 1000-y free and 200-y backstroke, respectively.
The teams will travel to North Carolina next week to compete in the North Carolina Invitational beginning on Thursday, November 16.
