Ferretti Earns First Atlantic 10 Swimming Honor

WASHINGTON, DC (Nov. 14) - George Washington freshman swimmer Bryan Ferretti (Newtown, PA/Council Rock) has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Rookie of the Week, the Conference has announced. It is the first Conference honor for Ferretti.

Ferretti won two events, the 500-yd and 1000-yd freestyle, in GW's meet against La Salle on Saturday, Nov. 10. Ferretti won the 500-yd free in a time of 4:52.52 and the 1000-yd free in a time of 9:58.44. Ferretti also won the 1000-yd free against James Madison on Oct. 27 with a time of 9:41.44, the third fastest time in the Atlantic 10 this season. His time of 4:45.00 in the 500-yd free against James Madison is the fifth fastest time in the Atlantic 10 this season.

Ferretti and his teammates return to the pool on Friday, Nov. 16, as they take part in the George Mason Invitational in Fairfax, VA.
