Swimming's Maggie Moss To Compete In Prestigious U.S. Open

AUBURN, AL - George Washington University senior Maggie Moss (Indianapolis, IN/North Central) will join more than 600 elite swimmers from across the globe in the 2005 U.S. Open hosted by Auburn Dec. 1-3 in the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.

Moss qualified to compete in the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke and the 200-meter individual medley in last season's Atlantic 10 Championships.

The 200m IM and 200m backstroke events are scheduled for Thursday with the 100m backstroke event set for Friday.

A number of U.S. Olympic swimmers and high-profile international stars are slated to compete during the three-day competition.

Omega Timing will carry live results from the competition at www.omegatiming.com. In addition, session summaries and other coverage can be found on www.usaswimming.org.

Prelims will begin each morning at 8:30 a.m., with finals at 5 p.m. EST.
