In the second half, Destici scored twice in less than a minute to make it an 11-0 advantage before Iona finally struck for the first time two minutes into the third quarter. The teams traded goals from there as GW completed the 16-6 win.

In addition to Destici’s four goals, McKinnie Braun, Petkovic and Slaughter had multiple goals with two apiece. Junior Duke Becker and sophomore Connor Rosenberg had two assists apiece. In the net, goalkeeper Austin Pyrch had six saves while Matt Taylor had four.
