Little, Illes Can't Lift Water Polo Past Bucknell in 14-8 Loss
Colonials Riddled With Foul Trouble in Road League Loss
Oct. 16, 2010
LEWISBURG, PA - Freshman Nate Little netted six goals and sophomore goalkeeper Cameron Illes posted 17 saves in losing efforts as the George Washington men's water polo team dropped a 14-8 decision at Bucknell in CWPA Southern Division, East Region action Saturday.
After converting 8-of-10 man-up chances in a 10-7 win over Bucknell on Sept. 25, GW was the team riddled with foul trouble on Saturday with 17 total ejections, including seven in the first quarter, as the host Bison built a 10-3 halftime cushion.
The Colonials attempted to rally and outscored the Bison, 5-4, in the second half, but couldn't overcome the seven-goal deficit.
Freshman Daniel Tyner added the other two goals for GW, which will play Iona and league foe Princeton in Princeton, NJ, next Saturday.
