Midshipmen Score Six Times in Second Quarter to Seal Win

ANNAPOLIS, MD - Navy notched six goals in the second quarter to blow open tight match and went on to defeat the Colonials (4-17, 1-8 CWPA Southern) in a CWPA league contest on Wednesday, Oct. 20 by the score of 18-6.
GW opened the scoring by converting on a man-up opportunity in the first minute of the game to take a 1-0 lead, but Navy answered with consecutive tallies to take a two-goal edge. After trading goals, Navy scored six straight times to take a commanding 10-2 advantage at the half.
Navy cruised the rest of the way, outscoring the Colonials 8-4 in the second half to record the triumph.
Senior Taylor Woodbury paced the Colonials with a career-best three goals in the match.
GW will square off against Gannon on Friday, Oct. 22 in Salem, WV at 8:30 p.m.
