GW's Pierce Deamer Named to All-South First Team
Sophomore Leads Colonials With 59 Goals, 47 Ejections Drawn

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- George Washington men's water polo sophomore Pierce Deamer was named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) All-Southern Division First Team, the league announced on Thursday ahead of this weekend's CWPA Championship.
Deamer leads the Colonials in goals (59), assists (29), points (88) and ejections drawn (47), and he ranks fourth on the team in steals (27). The native of South Pasadena, California, has been GW's leading scorer 13 times this season.
Deamer's recognition marks the fifth year in a row a Colonial has been named to the All-South First Team, joining Daniel Tyner in 2011 and Bogdan Petkovic from 2012-14. In all, Deamer represents GW's 12th First-Team selection.
Deamer and the Colonials open the CWPA Championship on Friday at 11:20 a.m. against No. 15 Bucknell.
