Koenemann Named First-Team All-Conference
Senior Led GW with 53 Goals in 2004
Nov. 29, 2004
BRIDGEPORT, PA - Senior co-captain Nick Koenemann has been selected to the CWPA's Southern Division All-Conference First Team. He is the first Colonial to be named first-team all-conference since Pat Dodge in 2002-03.
Koenemann led GW with 53 goals in 2004 and ranked third on the squad with 16 assists. His 53 tallies equaled his season-best goals total set in 2003. Koenemann also contributed 21 steals and a team-best 51 ejections drawn and helped GW to a seventh-place finish at the CWPA Southern Championship on Oct. 30-31. On the championship's first day, he scored a combined 12 goals in GW's victory over Gannon and overtime loss versus Salem International.
Princeton's John Stover took home the Southern Division's Player of Year award, while Salem's Keith Bullion was named the division's Coach of the Year.
GW finished with a 9-19 overall record in 2004 and a 2-8 mark in league play.
