Head Coach
Scott Reed

With the University's increasing commitment to varsity water polo, Scott Reed was named the first head coach of the GW Women's Water Polo Team in the summer of 1999. Reed, in his first season at GW, also coaches the men's program.

Reed comes to GW from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va., where he served as the Head Water Polo Coach and an assistant coach with the university's men's and women's swimming teams since the fall of 1997.

Reed graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management, and was a captain on the nationally ranked Minuteman water polo squad. Reed also was a member of the UMass swim team, and he presently holds the school record in the 1000 freestyle.

Reed served as a graduate assistant in Aquatics at Eastern Kentucky University, where he received a Master of Science degree in Sport Administration in 1997.

Reed lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife Allison.
