Darrell Andruski

Andruski is in his first season as an assistant coach for the men's and women's cross country teams at GW. A native of Clifton Park, NY, Andruski was a key member of the Colonials' men's cross country team from 2000-03. He was named the 2004 recipient of the J. Dallas Shirley Outstanding Senior Male Athlete Award for athletic and academic accomplishment, the highest athletic honor a GW student-athlete can win. He was named to both the Atlantic 10's All-Conference team and Academic All-Conference team in 2003 and '04. He has spent two years as a volunteer coach and event volunteer for the Mercer County Track and Field Championships in New Jersey. After battling through injuries early in his senior year, Andruski concluded the season as the top Colonials' finisher in the final three races. He holds the top two times by a GW runner at the Atlantic 10 Championship meet and was a two-time team MVP in 2002 and '03. Andruski graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from GW in May '04 and was a five-time member of GW's Academic Dean's List.
