CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The George Washington University cross country team had three athletes compete at the Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational this past weekend, April 16-17, at Lannigan Track.

On the women's side, sophomore Taylor Leavitt (Turner, ME) finished 23rd in the 3000m with a time of 11:00.90, while freshman Gabrielle Polhemus (Boca Raton, FL) claimed 32nd in the 800 meters at 2:26.11.

Sophomore Daniel Morgan (Danville, KY) was the lone competitor on the men's side, as he placed 14th out of 23 runners in the 5000m with a 15:50.99 clocking.

GW is back in action when it travels to Emmitsburg, MD, on Saturday, April 23, for the Eric Kloiber Metro Invitational, hosted by Mount St. Mary's.
